Sophia Antipolis: ICERA (4G/LTE) will hire 50 Telecom engineers

Specializing in integrated circuits dedicated to mobility, the British company ICERA chose Sophia-Antipolis to develop its R&D on technologies 4G/LTE (very high speed mobile and telecommunications new technologies). |
Present in Sophia since 2005, until then, the start-up ICERA was mainly invested in the field of integrated circuits. It will recruit 50 engineers in the next 3 years for the development of next generation mobile telecommunications equipment (4G/LTE).
"Major industrial issue", as Christian Estrosi (minister of industry and main political leader of the department) reminds, technology 4G/LTE represents the near future of the mobile internet, booming in France as in the world. The most advanced services are indeed possible in the areas of information security, multimedia and transportation. Reinforcing the "ecosystem of Sophia Antipolis in its areas of excellence (integrated circuits, embedded software and mobile telecommunications), the minister said, the new R&D activity will take advantage of the dynamics of global competitiveness cluster Secured Communicating Solutions (SCS)" . Also present at the technology area, Intel opened earlier this year a new entity to thirty people attached to its Ultra Mobility Group. |
